VMG_Autumn_Tour_2015

Sea sailing tour organized by VMG Yachting Plc., skipper Mr. Aron MEDER, 3rd Hungarian solo sail seaman around the globe. On this occasion Aron will be our fleet skipper introducing our participants to the art of sailing. The 4-day long Adriatic course shall deliver fun challenges, games and a community building power.

VMG’s 2015 Spring Tour is an exciting experience for sea lovers let them be novice or intermediate sailors, lovers of active recreation, also cultural and historical sightseeing.

Terms and fees

  • Fee: 390 EUR / person / 4 days
  • Travel: individually, but we are happy to coordinate travel arrangements on request
  • Boats: Bavaria 44 (4 cabin)

You can apply individually or as a team. If one of your team holds an appropriate skipper’s license and possesses a satisfactory command of sailing, he/she can be appointed as your skipper.

Planned route and programmes – 3/6 Oct 2015

Day 1 – Trogir

  • 13:00-14:00 Arrivals

Arriving individually to Trogir Marina

  • 14:00-17:00 Get introduced to each other, team building, safety instructions and embarkation

While every fleet crew arrives, team members get to know the boats. After registration and boat takeover, participants prepare to sea and being taught about the boats. Then the luggage will be loaded, cabins are assigned and the first refreshments served. Mr. Méder will hold a safety briefing whilst skippers go through the equipment checklists.

  • 17:00-18:00 Make of sails

After everything is done, the teams sail out, and the practical part of the preparations are then held in open waters. After viewing the sunset on sea, we sail to Isle of Solta, to Stromoska port

  • 22:00 Mooring at Stromoska

We discover Stromoska port, welcome partying, get acquainted with the fleet crew.

Day 2 – Isle of Vis

  • 9:00 Make of sails

All day sailing amongst Solta and Vis islands, whilst doing funny exercises and participating in contests. We shall entertain both first-timers and experienced sailors

  • 16:00 Mooring at Isle of Vis

One can choose from optional programmes for even more fun – snorkeling is available plus multiple diving bases on the island. Major town at Isle of Vis being the beautiful town of Vis itself. The island is famous of its wines, it’s worth to have a taste of them each, let it be any of the Opol, Visko, Cmo or Vugava sorts.

Day 3 – Sailing in Paradise

  • 9:00 Sail out to Bisevo island to see the Blue Cave

Funny on-board tasks featuring mast climb, making a selfie with open sails at 10 m height (latter of course being an optional programme item). Then we reach Bisevo, 5 km’s off Vis where Blue Cave an amazing natural miracle awaits us. The cave is available only on board propelled dinghies (lifeboats).

  • 17:00 Set port at Komiža town

Sailing from the Blue Cave towards Komiža, at the bottom of Hum hills, famous of its stone huts and narrow alleys, whilst navigation/orientation tasks are

performed. Sailors spend the night on board here.

Day 4 – Sailing open seas

  • 9.00 Make of sails

Regatta games conducted and various tasks performed throughout the day

  • 17.00 Mooring at Trogir Marina

Following an all day long sailing we return to our starting point at Trogir Marina

  • 22:00 Mooring at Milna

We discover Milna port, welcome partying, get acquainted with the fleet crew.

Day 2 – Isle of Korcula, Vela Luka

  • 9:00 Make of sails

All day sailing amongst Solta and Vis islands, whilst doing funny exercises and participating in contests, amongst them a dinghy race. We shall entertain both first-timers and experienced sailors.

Then full or experiences we continue our tour to the Isle of Korcula

  • 17-19:00 Mooring at Vela Luka, Isle of Korcula

Upon arrival the crew gets a chance to discover this small town having possessed strategic importance in sea trade. Vela Luka bears cultural traces from ancient Greece and the Roman Empire to the modern Republic of Venice, the British and even to the Russian Empire. Vela Luka is a real Mediterranean town in Paradise on a forest covered island, a splendid place for time out with the VMG fleet’s crew. We spend the night aboard in Vela Luka port.

Day 3 – Sailing at Lastovo Island Nature Reserve

  • 9:00 Make of sails

Funny on-board tasks featuring mast climb, making a selfie with open sails at 10 m height (latter of course being an optional programme item), whilst discovering amazing nature treasures belonging to Lastovo Island. Lastovo Nature Reserve could also be called the ‘Isle of 46’ as it consists of 46 islets, has 46 churches and chapels, features 46 graveyards and 46 olive groves and possesses 46 hills. It is a splendid place for sipping wines in company of the fleet crew. We spend the night here amongst the islets.

Day 4 – Sailing to Trogir

  • 9.00 Make of sails

Regatta games conducted and various sailing tasks performed throughout the day

  • 18.00 Mooring at Trogir Marina

Following an all day long sailing we return to our starting point at Trogir Marina. We still have time to discover Trogir at this Friday evening and spend the night on board, so so sailors can schedule their departure for Saturday morning, too.

During VMG Spring Tour 2015 we use Bavaria 44 boats. Bavaria 44 is a high quality cruiser sailing yacht. The 2 steering wheels which control the boat are positioned in the (also) spacious cockpit.
