VMG Spring Tour 2015

VMG_Spring_Tour_2015Sea sailing tour organized by VMG Yachting Plc., skipper Mr. Aron Meder, 3rd Hungarian solo sail seaman around the globe.

On this occasion Aron will be our fleet skipper introducing our participants to the art of sailing. The 4-day long Adriatic course shall deliver fun challenges, games and a community building power. VMG’s 2015 Spring Tour is an exciting experience for sea lovers let them be novice or intermediate sailors, lovers of active recreation, also cultural and historical sightseeing.

Adriatic sailing tour programme

  • Daily sailing routine
  • Deepening and practising sailing skills
  • Navigation and orientation tasks and sailing competitions
  • Sightseeing Dalmatia’s millennial heritage of culture, as seen from the seas
  • Visits to national parks

  • Optional activities: scuba diving, snorkelling, sea fishing.

Terms and fees

Fee: 390 EUR / person / 4 days

Travel: individually, but we are happy to coordinate travel arrangements on request.

Boats: 7-persons Bavaria 44.

The price includes:

  • Boat rental
  • ‘Transit log’ (cleaning, linen etc.) fees
  • Skipper’s honorarium
  • Local tourist tax
  • Port charges
  • Boats’ engine fuel

Fees don’t cover

  • Boat insurance deposit (charges apply on embarkation)
  • Personal health, accident and luggage insurance
  • Meals

You can apply individually or as a team. If one of your team holds an appropriate skipper’s license and possesses a satisfactory command of sailing, he/she can be appointed as your skipper.

Detailed program list ( 9-12 May 2015 )

Planned route and programs

Day 1 – Pirovac

    • 13:00-14:00 Arrivals
      • Arriving individually to Pirovac Marina where we spend the first night on board. The port is located in a closed, wind-less bay, so it is protected from waves.
    • 14:00-17:00 Get introduced to each other, team building, safety instructions and embarkation
      • While every fleet crew arrives, team members get to know the boats. After registration and boat takeover, participants prepare to sea and being taught about the boats. Then the luggage will be loaded, cabins are assigned and the first refreshments served. Mr. Méder will hold a safety briefing whilst skippers go through the equipment checklists.
    • 17:00-18:00 Make of sails
      • After everything is done, the teams sail out, and the practical part of the preparations are then held in open waters. After viewing the sunset on sea, we head back to port of Pirovac.
    • 21:00-22:00 Mooring
      • Sailing back to Pirovac port, Dock Party.

Day 2 – Isle of Murter, Kornati National Park and Telascica National Park

    • 9:00 Make of sails
      • All day sailing with a small stop at port of Murter, whilst doing funny exercises and participating in contests. We shall entertain both first-timers and experienced sailors. Full of experiences, the boats then head out of Murter Port and continue amongst the Kornati archipelago, the most stunning sight of the region and an unforgettable experience.
    • 17-19:00 Mooring in Telascica Bay.
        • Watching the sunset from a cliff followed by a nice walk around the inner lake. After that some free time, tasting some wine. Crews will spend the night in Telascica Bay on anchor.

      Day 3 – Sailing amidst Kornati National Park islands

              • 9:00 Sailing out of Telascica bay
                • Funny on-board tasks featuring mast climb, making a selfie with open sails at 10 m height, then visiting a late submarine base of Marshall Tito. Navigation/orientation tasks performed in the early afternoon. Docking at Dugi Otok island, in the beautiful town bay of Sali followed by a joint team dinner. After dinner, Áron will (optionally) present photos of his globe sailing tour. Croatian wine specialities shall be tasted, followed by some cocktails leading to a farewell party. Sailors spend the night on board in Sali.

      Day 4 – Sailing open seas

              • 9:00 Make of sails
                • Sailing games conducted and various tasks performed throughout the day, followed by sailing back to Pirovac Marina by dusk. Plans of programs/schedule may vary due to weather or other late changes

Planned route and programs

Day 1 – Pirovac

    • 13:00-14:00 Arrivals
      • Arriving individually to Pirovac Marina where we will spend the first night. The port is positioned in a closed, windless bay, so it is protected from waves.
    • 14:00-17:00 Getting to know each other, team building, safety dispatch and boat takeover
      • While each teams of the fleet arrives, team members get to know the boats. After registration and boat takeover, participants will be prepared for sailing and taught about the ships. Then we load luggage, occupy cabins and the first refreshments are consumed. Áron Méder will hold a safety briefing and skippers of the boats will take over the ships.
    • 17:00-18:00 Sailing out
      • After everything is done, the boat crews will sail out, and the practical part of the preparatory will be held in open water. After seeing the sunset from the sea, we will head back to Pirovac port.
    • 21:00-22:00 Docking
      • Sailing back to Pirovac port, Dock Party.

Day 2 – Murter island, Tijat, Zlarin

    • 9:00 Sailing out
      • All day sailing with a small pause at port Murter, doing playful exercises and contests during the day. Our goal is to entertain both first-timers and experienced sailors. Full of experiences, the boats head out of port Murter and continue the tour to the uninhabited island of Tijat, where, alongside a walk on shore, the crew shall participate in a ‘dinghy contest’.
    • 17-19:00 Docking at Zlarin
      • After docking the crew will have the opportunity to walk around the beautiful village of Zlarin. A little bit of fun time is sprnt with VMG fleet’s other crews, wine served. The crew will spend the night on board at port of Zlarin.
Day 3 – Sailing to Skradin, sightseeing at Krka falls.
      • 9:00 Sailing out
        • Funny on-board tasks featuring mast climb, making a selfie with open sails at 10 m height, then visiting a late submarine base of Marshall Tito. Navigation/orientation tasks performed in the early afternoon. The boats will dock at the port of Skradin, from where the crew will go to Krka National Park where they will get to see the Krka waterfall.
      • 17-19:00 City of Skradin
        • Evening and the night shall be spent in Skradin (marina), VMG serve our clients a team dinner. After dinner, Áron will (optionally) present photos of his globe sailing tour. Croatian wine specialities shall be tasted, followed by some cocktails leading to a farewell party.

 

Day 4 – Sailing back to Pirovac, touching Sibenik and Prvic

      • Sailing games and tasks throughout the day, with a short trip to Sibenik, then sailing back to Pirovac Marina in the afternoon. The boats will be available to spend the night there, so sailors can schedule their departure for the next morning.
